Feeling melancholy after holiday

The winter holiday is officially over.

Christmas tree and all decorations are stuffed to storage, and the next awaiting holiday… Chinese New Year… (shudder)

I don’t like decorating for Chinese New Year. For me, everything is too bright and red. There is little room for creativity and imagination. I tried to write some of those lucky wall scroll back in summer Chinese school when learning to write chinese calligraphy. Unfortunately, my calligraphy skills is… mediocre , at best. Plus, it’s difficult to compete with the store bought lucky scroll since people can buy 5 scrolls for under a $1.

Haisun, take some picture of Chinese New Year in Thailand for us. I want to see how they celebrate over there. I am imagining elephants and golden temples, so don’t forget about those!
